Atlantic City Expressway Exit Ramps Completed

Construction on the 3.3 miles of Expressway from Meepbay to Atlantic City has finally been completed, late Tuesday night. MDOT crews finished paving and line painting on the curving express lane exits that reach downtown Atlantic City. East of the city, the expressway ends and becomes a four lane local road, reaching to the north and east suburbs. In Meepbay Township, the tunnel under the town has yet to be completed to Far Village, or to the south. Later this week MDOT plans to make exits for route 35 so buses can easily access the downtown areas. The entire construction project is part of MDOT’s summer budget plan of 1.2 million diamonds.
