The Eastern Spur of the Meepbay Turnpike opened earlier this week, while it was expected to be completed at the end of summer. MDOT says the delay was inpart to the unexpected construction of Interstate 88 from Meepbay Township to Steven Jam’s city. Work on that highway has since resumed. The new turnpike section provides a bypass for Meepbay Township and improves destination time from Atlantic City to points west of Meepton City. So far there is not any plan for eastbound lanes, as the spur is only westbound traffic. Anyone traveling east will have to exit the turnpike into downtown Meepbay and enter the A. C. Expressway.
